06 | Motion Graphics : Narrative & sequencing
Brief Summary
You are required to conceptualise, storyboard, design and animate a 30-60 second mini title sequence. You’ll receive blurbs of selected books that have yet to be made into features. As a visualiser, it is your task to conceptualise the narrative and visual treatment based off of the blurb alone.

Design Strategy
The title sequence was inspired by the Luminaries blurb. Set in the western scene in the 1800s. An Era filled with prostitution, senseless violence, crime and mysteries to be solved. the aim was to replicate this era and present the story through a bold and striking title sequence. This was done through using a striking red, black and white colour palette, mature and edgy visuals, rough and grungy illustrations all tied together with some hardcore rock music to present, "The Luminaries".The approach chosen was Z space Animation through the perspective of a bullet flying through different scenes. A bar fight inside a saloon, transitioning to a prostitute with a client, a drunk man vomiting and concluding with a rich man tied up and held hostage.
